ok heres the deal,
when i start to accelerate my truck feels ok as long as i give it some gas, but if i let the RPMs go down to about 500 then my truck will freeze. once it freezes, it seems like the engine stops, but when i press the clutch back down the engine revs back up to about 800 rpms. well this is known as stalling your engine, but when this happens it feels f'in jerky as hell. im not exacly sure if this is a tranny problem but it feels like a motor mount is bad or clutch sucks. i never rode in a vehicle with a bad motor mount and im pretty sure the clutch is ok.
now, im comparing this to my s-10 that i used to have, when it would stall it wouldn't feel so jerky. the s-10 would stall smoother, instead of a sudden clank and stop, the engine would just die. my 4runner truck however, feels like something is going to break, and makes a loud clanking noise!
is this normal?
