It isn't anything new but i guess it is time i asked the question.  My G-52 won't downshift from 4th into 3rd.  the shifter won't go into the gear like something is blocking it.  It doesn't grind at all, no noises.  Could it be a syncro (sp?).  I have a manual transmission class this semester for school and i need a project.  If i have enough money i can rebuild my tranny at school.  was wondering if anyone new what exactly is wrong with it.  Would the rebuild kit from Marlin fix it?

HAVE YOU CHECKED THE SHIFTER BUSHING AND SEAT   APARENTLY THE STOCK SEAT WILL DRY UP AND DISAPPEAR AND THAT CAN GIVE YOU SHIFTING PROBLEMS

I guess i can pull the shifter out and take a look.

mine does that when its cold. i have to be in neutral pump the clutch and it will finally slip right it. and sometimes its easier to shift withought the clutch at all.
