Well, no worries about the 22R. I've got a different plan
if you're gonna go supercharged your motor should be fine. if you want to get some better performance, i'd get a hold of LC and order some forged pistons though. stock cast ones won't take a lot of boost, and stock compression for '81-84 is 9.0:1. i'd bump it down to at least 8.4:1 depending on how much boost you want to run.on the other hand, you could always find a 20R bottom end and put your 22R head on it. stock compression on a 20R is 8.4:1 and the combustion chamber size is similar on the 20R and '81-84 22R. only downside is that the 20R pistons are still cast(though you could probably get KB pistons for it) and you lose 200CC of displacement.
