WTB: 1983 Pickup
« on: May 29, 2008, 04:09:51 PM »
Looking for a 1983 or older pickup in good condition. Not really after anything rusty or too built. A/C would be a major plus as living in Florida with out it is a little harsh. Location is not a huge deal as long as its somewhere near an airport. Would be a fun adventure to drive a pickup across the country. I have been into cruiser forever and always had a soft spot for the older Hiluxs. If anyone has any information please let me know...
Thanks,
-Al

Thanks again,

I'm located in grand junction colorado.  It has the 22r, 5 speed with a bit over 160,000.  no ac, burns a little oil but runs great. I will replace the timing chain before i sell. the t cases have stock gears. I'd Like to get $6000 out of it. I'll see If i can get a buddy to post pics for me, my computer doesn't want to download pics off my camera and the damn opereting system is out dated so I haven't been able to use my email in months(got to love macs).

I have a stock...well almost stock..has a Weber Carb. 1983 SR5 Short Bed 4x4 with new 32 BFG's, 160K miles runs perfect..well almost needs a little more tweaking on the Weber. Doesn't burn oil or leak, AC works, tunes, sliding rear window, tool box, very little rust lots of new parts not currently inspected but will pass..!.
Bought it to build myself and as a third set of wheels but was informed a week or so ago by the CFO that we needed a Jeep so she could ride around town topless....hee hee.................No...the Jeep..!
