Topic: I'm going to Toyota hell

I finally got sick of the weak and rust prone frame, the piss ass 4 banger and it's lack of power, and parked my truck.

I'm now in the market for a Chevy.  Went out searching and found one I fell in love with.  It's an 83 K10, no rust whatsoever.  It has a bit of a lift (maybe 3" at most), 33"s and stacks coming out of the bed.  It felt so nice tapping the gas and seeing smoke pouring out from under the bed.

It got a new motor and trans 2 years ago, the frame only has 140k miles on it.  He's asking $1500.

You can't roast your tires at will in the toy?  You have no power?  Your frame is rusty?  Does it hurt when you cough?  Does it hurt when you think?  Ok then, I recommend you hand over your girlfriend before you make any bad decissions that may mal-effect her, ie being stranded on deserted roads in a broken down chebby, etc, etc......

Seriously, I can roast my tires at will in my 80 or my 91.

Dang, sorry to see you're giving up the Toyota. Seriously though, if you can, by all means try to hang on to it, even if you park it and pull the insurance from it. You might want to go back to it and you'll miss it down the road. But if you can afford to keep it, then throw a tarp over it, and maybe you'll crawl back into it next Summer?

Hey, wait, I know what this is all about. It's that darn model you are in love with. She drives a Chevy truck and is playing mind tricks on ya. You see, she is so sexy that you think her truck is sexy, so you want to buy a Chevy truck in hopes of becoming sexy, but I just think that's poor logic.

man  smoke burns my eyes,  sounds like it maybe needs some valves seals   

but really,  i know what this is,  she tried to run away and you couldnt keep up, bring me your toy,  i'll fix it up forya,  nice big cam, maybe a twin turbo setup

sounds like there is somethin wrong with the yota, evn if you get the chevy you should keep it, I am not trying to be rude, I was hardcore domestic/fullsize until I started working for toyota. went wheelin after work one night it was embarrassing the yota's kicked my butt!!!  Within a year I was the proud owner of an 87 runner,with 8" of lift 35's ond 5.29's (22R-E) it would roast the tires in first and second and it still got 20-25 M.P.G.!! Just don't do anything you will regret.

I picked out her truck for her, so no, she's not making me.

I still have my 83 Toyota so no worries about losing Toyota.

i hear ya.. i got sick of my toyota so i bought a 69 ford.. 390v8  np435.. and getting a 205 swapped in 40" tires and whatnot..  so i can build my toyota to have power  be geared to the hilt  all the goodies..    it was nice to be able to roast the tires through 4th gear in the ford when i could barely make my 37s chirp with 5.13s in my toyota  ( and that is with an LC engineering motor!) but that ford will burn the 37s off with stock gears lol..
