going to rework the top links to run a wishbone setup finish my steering. do a front drive line. brakes. some welding and get it running decent.. and if i cant get it running decent well.. its gonna get a v8 swap

let me guess your dragging the weld instead of pushing it?

cause none of those welds look very good. the dimple in the middle is very bad! also if you build it right the first time it will last till the last time.

i see we have another armchair welder.. no those welds were pushed not drug. and i was tought this by a professional welder that did structure welding for 6 years and now runs a fabrication shop so i'll trust him more than you. and that dimple in the center is because i didnt clean anything because its not staying i burned it hot and fast so i can go wheeling this weekend.

the only bad weld is the one that doesn't hold. I had much worse looking stuff on my Willys when I first got it, nothing but boogers hanging off the welds and they proved to be solid. Sure some people take it to an art level and they look real pretty but the question would be do they hold.

that tubing may be .120 wall but what size tubing. it looks over 2" from the pics. last i checked the thicker the tube the easier it dents. as for the welds, thats your choice, i wouldn't rush my welds nor have i

which tubing ? your being a little vauge.. my rollbar is 3" .120 wall. the hoop over my diff is 2" .145 wall and my links are made of 1 1/2 .500wall heat treated drill stock.

how about to the side ?

in that seat pretty much you put yer feet on the back bar so you dont have yer legs danglin behind the truck

3" .120 is stout

believe it or not.. ive seen smitty built rollbars take some touuuggghhhhh hits before. i plan to make an x brace out of some 1 1/2 .120 to give it a little more rigidness.. future plans are an exo aswell.. either out of 1 3/4 or 2".. we'll see

yeah i can see what yer sayin.. but pretty much if i have a chance of rolling i'll tell the person to get out otherwise im not to worried

got my steering done and moved the truck out of the shop.. im so stoked ! it was funny to drive it with no shocks and barely any brakes.. not to mention a good ammount of anti squat ( i could make the rearend of the truck hop pretty good) .. soooo stoked! i cant wait till sunday

38x12.5 tsls they just look small because my truck is so big. im 6'2 and the bottom part of the window opening on the door is about at my neck. 38.5x16 baja claws on the back and on the front i think they are 15x10s

i had to redo my uppers on the rearend again cuz.. i did a 4grand 4lo clutch dump on the concreate and broke what i did before LOL. all fixed now and done much better.. took a chance to flex it out a bit.. could have gone WAYYYY more but the cherry picker was about to fall over.. i dont have anything else to flex on

oh and what 0psi looks like in my tires.. i need some more weight in the back !!
