only recently stumbled across this site, and I'm Luvin it, I've spent hours looking at what you guys are doing (excellent pics and builds) and you got me thinking,
I've got a couple of bits lying around, a 1uzfe that i originally bought to put in the missis's dual cab but we ended up putting the turbo on instead and a 84 single cab 4x4 chassis ( is this what you guys call a second generation? )
there are a couple of places over here that make addaptors to make just about any motor box /combo go together.
check out dellow automotive and the castlemaine rod shop there web sites have all sorts of goodies to get you thinking,
and i know a guy thats done a few 1uzfe into four runners and dual cabs, he uses the 1uzfe computer and pics the harness apart and uses the minimun wiring and he's done autos and manuals, they look factory and run sweet.
I'm thinking that if i strip all the unnecessary crap off it might make an allright off roader
