my brother has a 2002 tacoma that i just installed a supercharger and 7th injector in. dang! what a kick, but like any blower the top end drops off unlike a turbo charger. i think the 3.4 needs new heads that actually flow, but still have quad overhead cams and a twin turbo set-up would haul! maybe some day! but yeah the supercharger is a kick in the pants.

Hey Swamp, just imagine what you could do to your 4Runner if you put 24g's into it

:offtopic:
but like any blower the top end drops off unlike a turbo charger
That all depends on how its tuned and if the engine is out pulling the charger. It's a positive displacement setup (theoritacally) so more rpm = more boost. If the blower is a bit undersized for the engine, then that might happen, but if you have the right sized blower and run 80% of its peak boost or so, then it will do the same as a Turbo.

That's what I never understood.. All three of my SC engines would hold peak boost all the way to redline, including my 17.5 psi SC engine. I was using 2.5" intake piping compared to the stock 2". A Turbo has a waste gate that regulates boost, so if you've got a SC that can hold it's boost all the way to redline, and you've got a Turbo that does the same, then the SC will walk all over the Turbo anyday.

The one I test drove was the same color  the reason Im would buy the truck is because I need something reliable so a new toy is as reliable as can get....now dont get me wrong I will get myself another toy but that would not be street legal  so what are you guy's thoughts about the truck :dunno:

:puke3:  I dont like it.  If I were looking for reliability, why dont you get a "newer" toyota tacoma 2wd and keep Swamper?

I thoughtyou had all your engine problems fixed? why isnt swamper reliable?

If it were me, I'd look at buying a new 4x4 tacoma, or even one that is a few years old.  If you get a vehicle that is a few years old, you wont beleve the $$ you'll save, and most of the bugs from the factory will have been taken care off :twocents:

The thing is that I want something sporty and since I feel sports cars are just way to close to the ground I think a sports truck would be good....I did fix my engine prob but I still want something newer

I dunno, I've always thought that sports trucks defeat the purpose of a truck.  If you want something for work, to haul and tow, get a truck.  If you want something to race, go fast, and what not, buy a sports car. :dunno:  just me though  If you want it go for it

Like I said sports cars are too low to the ground for my taste and beside the X-Runner has a bed....I can still carry stuff around...not haul but carry

Skip the Xrunner, get yours self one of the Tacomas with the TRD package.  They have a built in plug in in the bed so you can run A/C powered items off of it.
