1985 Automatic Hub to Manual Hub Conversion
« on: Jul 30, 2023, 12:23:19 PM »
does anyone know what you need for an automatic to manual hub conversion on an 1985 pickup? so far i have the two aisin hubs, two spindle nut kits and because of my axle didn’t have a snap ring on the end i have to get two of them i’m assuming? Are the snap ring called the front axle inner snap ring or the birfield snap ring because marlin crawler has both of them but i think i only need one.

This is for an older model pickup, the 1985 is slightly different I'm pretty sure.

Yes, I know that it comes in the spindle nut kit, I'm more concerned about the snap rings that I need or if I need them. My automatic hub just had a bolt with a washer threaded on the axle.

I'm running rcv axles w/ zerk fitting at end of shaft, I'm using snap ring.
