W56-a and w56-d tail housing and shifting links swapped
« on: Aug 01, 2023, 12:15:11 PM »
So I have a w56-a out of a 85 that I plan on putting in my 92. I've been seeing guys switching the tail housing and shift likns in the w56-c and w56-b. I was just wondering if it's also possible to switch the tail housing and shift links out of the w56-d and turn the w56-a into a forward shift. I was considering just throwing the w56-a in without swapping anything but I rather not cut any holes in the floor until I do the duel case. Also might just do the 4.7 gear swap. Im on the fence with all that yet. I just manly wanna make sure the transmission I have is going to work before I drop some coin on a new long block. TIA
