Topic: 85 pickup (On E1 Pay Build)

Well a while back ago I got a 85 toyota pickup single cab short bed on a trade. I believe I came out on top I only had about $400 in the gun I traded for it.  Anyways the guy I traded for it tore it down to replace the head gasket. He put every f'n bolt ,nut ,washer ,ect.. in coffee cans  . It came with every gasket I needed so I started cleaning everything up and "organizing" it I get the head ,intake exhaust manifold , then I start working on the timing chain cover only like two of the bolts are there. So I ordered some from the dealership. By the time they come in I was leaving for basic training. Fast forward 3 months I'm in Biloxi,MS for tech school and I have the bug again. I'm going a different route with this project. I found a 2rz from a 96 tacoma with 96k miles with a w56 bellhousing. for $500 my granddad is going to pick it up when I get payed the 15th. My plans are chevy's with RUF ,4.7 tcase gear ,5.29 front and rear ,spool locker rear , lockright front ,and high steer. I already have 36x12.5x16.5 goodyear wrangler rt 2's and procomp wheels. Also i forgot to add in there flat bed ,exo cage ,skids ,sliders ,front bumper all built by me because by buddy owns a huge welding shop and has all kinds of scrap metal for me to work with. Thanks for reading my "build" (more like plans) I will try to get pics up ASAP. Also my two biggest challenges in this build are going to be the 2rz swap and the 5.29's so if you can give me any pointers on that it would be greatly appreciated.

The 3/2rz platform is the way to go, and you already have a good start, and connections is awesome.

2rz (picking it up next week) well the a$$hole sold the motor out from under me so no more 2rz swap unless l find another good deal.
