BEER!
« on: Jun 04, 2015, 11:39:18 PM »
So since I've given my input on how to install a dual case setup in a truck with my method of utilizing beer, what is your guys preference on beer type? Whether just drinking while relaxing or working on the crawler!

My poisen is Coors original or Budweiser while working on the pile, and for chillin, I prefer a craft beer like Firestone DBA.

How bout u fellas?

I'm with you, Coors while working on the truck and something better while relaxing, such as Blue Pants Pinstripe.

 I enjoy Ambers, Pales, IPAs, Strong ales, Stouts, and porters. I love craft beer I prefer ales over lagers and when I can I love to brew my own. I guess it depends on my mood. Usually enjoy something milder when working like a traditional Sierra Nevada or DBA while working and save the high gravity beer for when I'm relaxing.

Beers a hobby of mine....official beer nerd. I brew and have roughly 500 bottles in my cellar. Sours, stouts, barleywines, barrel aged beers of all varieties.... You name it.. It's a fun hobby that can get out of hand easily. Actually belong to a lot of trade groups and trade all over the US, it's fun.

That's awesome! Ya a buddy of mine is getting into making his own brew.  I love craft beers, darker stouts and IPAs are where it's at.

Anyone try the seasonal Shock Tops?

Salted Pretzel Shock Top was pretty amazing..... but DON'T by any means drink it anything less than COLD. Ugh lesson learned

Alot of good mentions.

I usually have two types of beer on hand.

1. I have what I call "Shop Beer" and this is the wrenching, lawn care, BBQing/Smoking or whatever while you are doing work outside.
This can range from Kirkland Light Beer, Keystone Light, PBR, and various leftovers from when buddies come over.  Mainly, whatever quenches the thirst, and makes a good piss.

2. Then there is the house beer.
This is the chillin beers.  The micro, seasonal, or whatever tickles my fancy.  I love Corona, (and various other latino variety) Pelican Brewery, 21st Amendmant, 10 Barrel, Fort George, Rogue, Deshutes, Widmer, and a few others.  But mainly darks, stouts, ale, lagers, Wits and experimentals.  I used to love IPA's.  But I was drinking them long before most, and now every plant has at least 3 in their lineup, I am done with them.  UNLESS, it's a Dark IPA, then I am all over it.  Why, its different.  I want to enjoy the flavor, and not get sour punched in the throat with the Quadruple hop punch that most IPA's are going to.

But I am getting to the point, that I really can't just sit and enjoy a beer anymore.  They are really filling to me, especially the micros.  One or two, I am done, and off to get the rum bottle or vodka.
Miss ya Dean (4THEWKN) & Kyle (KYOTA)!!
