it should look pretty good as a finished product! I'm pretty meticulous when it comes to fine detail.... Kinda annoys me at times

Yeah, a lot of work for a poopy engine.... but I want it to be nice for my woman. Next time itll be 5VZFE going in that badboy

got some more done, its lookin pretty good. should get it back into the runner today but I doubt Ill get it fully finished. went to the concert at the Toyota Center last night and got PLASTERED so today is a melllow recovery day $Beer Chug\'n$

Well IT RUNS! Purrrrrs like a kitten. Had a damn clutch line leaking and the clutch pedal goes to the floor and stays there. I found a chunk of the master cylinder seal floating around in the res... so we got a factory Toyota replacement line today and I have to run over and pickup a clutch master cylinder. Also installed a new passengers window switch and drivers side outer window trim. After I get the clutch

done its off for a test drive! I'll post some pics later

went on a few nice test drives then had her drive it up to Royal yesterday and its still runnin sweet! She has an appointment for 11 tomorrow to get the deck I bought her installed. NOW I can start workin on MY runner

5spd, 4.56s, and 31s

i got 12mpg in my black 4runner when it was auto and 16 after i swapped it to 5spd.

I know it needs an exhaust, and the valve covers done and maybe the HGs

haha! Well its got a fresh valve job, head shaved, ARP head studs, factory Toyota HG's, fresh hone job, new rings and engine bearings, oil pump, water pump, timing set, new marlin 2100# clutch and flywheel, hot tanked everything, injectors flow tested, balanced and cleaned, couple new sensors, blah blah blah. She wants me to regear it to 4.88's but I think we should wait until I SAS it.

I'll tell you one thing though, I will NEVER rebuild a 3VZ again. I'd rather get a 5VZ and swap it in.
