Seriously?

the only thing i would be worried about would be the injector plugs being different.  but you could put the 86 intake on the 95 engine and be fine.

Dont mean to sound dumb here. What stuff besides the manifold. I wanted to try and keep the 95 intake for the straight manifold.

The throttle bodies are year specific, not sure on the upper intake manifold.  Just unbolt the intake, exhaust and drop in new motor, and bolt back up.  That way zero problems.

ya youre gonna have to use your 86 intake and exhaust manifolds the 95 has many differend plugs the coil/ignitor is completly different as well even the distrubuter plug will be different youre goint to be better off putting the bare motor in and putting all the stuff off your old motor over onto it but as far as the block head valve cover and all that it will be the same make sure it wasnt a 2wd or the oil pan and pickup tube will also be different

Not to second guess you here but should the exhaust manifold be the same? Because it has a header on it, was hoping to use it. I wouldn't think its different. Lce's header is 85-95 specific. I could be wrong though

if you have a header then yes it would some of the 86's had the 02 sensor on the manifold itsself instead of down on the pipe befor the cat and ive seen manifolds with out the airtube holes in them as well but if your running a header then you can use that on th 95 motor

Dont mean to jump in but I'm doin a similar swap but 94 motor in 91 truck and found out computer plugs are differtent as well as cap and coil. I put old wire harness, old but(new) cap and rotor. truck will start but only run a few seconds and die. I havent swapped the intake though as I couldn't see a difference visually
