Rebuilt Problems
« on: Feb 07, 2005, 12:47:21 PM »
I just got a rebuilt engine from some place in dallas, they are imported from japan where tehre is only like 30-40k miles on them... I since have put about 15k on it... I think i got a shitty engine. The first 600 miles i had to have them replace a headgasket on it... 600 MILES!! completely machined and rebuilt. Now Im at around 15k and pistons one and two are dead, along with the headgasket i just replaced... SOMETHING TELLS ME SOMETHINGS WRONG!! Now i have to get a new longblock and have it installed, about another 1300$... does this sound like something was wrong to you???????? ???  :tantrum:

if you bought a JDM "22R" you've been had.  the japanese didn't use those motors there!  instead, they got the wimpy 21RU, which is 2.0l.

definitely something very wrong with the build quality if you've smoked an engine in 600 miles.
