Black Friday Liberty (Penrose, CO) 11-26-2010
« on: Nov 27, 2010, 11:22:09 PM »
It wasn't Mythica's day from the start. He had tow rig starting issues, fuel
cell issues, and a broken d44 outer (wasn't beating on it either, I'm not quite sure why it broke). He got a late start and we knew indy and patriot was going to be a disaster with the huge amount of traffic lining up at the top. I spotted my little brother down independence in 7 minutes. He then drove out liberty in 25 minutes.

We dropped in and made decent time down to the intersection. The line to head up patriot was huge, behind a broken rig. Most opted to follow us out liberty. We turned around and orange crushed broke a front drive u joint. He got it fixed and we're on our way. A little way down the trail, Mythica broke a driver side chromo outer. He got it fixed and turned around. We had a group of 11 rigs behind us wanting to get out as well (they were stuck on patriot as well).

We were off the trail by 4:30. It was nice finally putting some faces to names and getting out wheeling.

Me & the Orange Crusher

Eric down the waterfalls on Indy

Eric didn't even flinch, the kid's a natural behind the wheel of his Jeep

He nailed the turn and only had to backup once to make the corner.  Usually takes us about 4-6 trys to make that corner

Down the last section of Indy

Posing on all the random rocks on the trail

CoToy91 down the slab

Then down the next tough section.  Probably the toughest section on Liberty.

Scotty & Aspen

Air Randy taking tough line down the slab with Scotty in front of him

Sick down down the slab, Iroks stick like glue

Nice FJ40 for sure!

Trying to take the hardest lines possible on the trail

Eric's parking spot during the break in action

Pitbulls folding up nicely on the sharp rocks in Penrose

Nice CJ7 tailgate conversion

Testing out his new 5" rear strech with 57" rear springs

Last poser spot on the trail.

Orange Crusher (Dan) took all these pics

Then Jerry broke! Sorry Jerry.

Great looking group of rigs.  These trail's are yet another reason I would love to live in CO.
