Anyone up for it?  I know COtoy91 wants to run it.  I tried to set it up last year and then had to bail out.  Liberty is the easier of the 2 trails in Penrose.  I'd still suggest 35's, locked F&R, some kind of tow hooks F&R, and the fact you may get body damage.

you think I could make  it with just a rear locker? I'm in either way, I'll either walk the trail or drive

Honestly, I don't think so.  It's a tough trail.  You could probably make it on the downhill in portion of the trail. But when you turn around and come back out uphill, it gets much tougher.

Have you never seen that trail? My Dad and I are always down there, mostly my Dad now since I'm up in FoCo but he goes all the time. I thought you've seen it before lol. Yeah I don't think your runner will be able to make it, it's pretty tough.

foxtrot89

I think I could make through the easiest part where the turn of is before the waterfall lol :)

True, we made it through there in our Runner. Of course that was a long time ago and it's changed a lot since...but you still might be able to make that part. lol

Volcom

Bump!  There's 2 of us for sure (Haku & myself).  COtoy91, you going to make it?

Dan and I will drive out for the day and walk/hang out at the exit. We're going to pass until the new engine is put in and we have a rollcage.

I just saw this, I am in. My truck hasn't moved all year so I have to do something

Crossing my fingers now for no snow and no closures

Good to hear!  I figured you were busy with the new job since the election was this week.

That puts us at 4 rigs so far.

Brad I can bring that spare d-shaft I have in case yours gets pretzled; let's hope the bolt patterns are the same.

Sounds good.  Hopefully Dan can find a project and get it up & running by this summer.

We should have plenty of open seats between the 7 rigs going so you should be able to jump in with somebody.

I don't need another project, just a new rod bearing.

And duals.

And EFI swap.

And cagey goodness.

But we'll be there, hopefully with freshly-charged camera batteries this time... or bring an inverter.

I will most likely have some seats open.  My plan was to bring my kids while the wife hit up Black Friday.  Well her brother is going to be in town and she wants the kids to stick around to see him.

I'll see everyone at 10am in the parking lot.

Me & the Orange Crusher

Eric down the waterfalls on Indy

Eric didn't even flinch, the kid's a natural behind the wheel of his Jeep

He nailed the turn and only had to backup once to make the corner.  Usually takes us about 4-6 trys to make that corner

Down the last section of Indy

Posing on all the random rocks on the trail

CoToy91 down the slab

Then down the next tough section.  Probably the toughest section on Liberty.

Scotty & Aspen

Air Randy taking tough line down the slab with Scotty in front of him

Sick down down the slab, Iroks stick like glue

Nice FJ40 for sure!

Trying to take the hardest lines possible on the trail

Eric's parking spot during the break in action

Pitbulls folding up nicely on the sharp rocks in Penrose

Nice CJ7 tailgate conversion

Testing out his new 5" rear strech with 57" rear springs

Last poser spot on the trail.

I'll throw my pics into the mix. We had a good time even without the pile, carb and single case would have sucked 75% of the day and made it that much worse for everyone else.

Pic-o-rama:

...and there you have it. See ya next year!! (hopefully with a functioning rig)
