ARB Bearings
« on: Jan 15, 2011, 07:00:28 PM »
Hoping maybe i can get an answer out of your guys, i cant seen to get a hold of the guys at Marlin Crawler. I just bought an Air locker for the rear end of my '85 pick up and started reading up on the install, theres something about maybe needing new carrier bearings for the locker, is this true? If so which ones do i need. Thanks.

:headscratch:  :dunno:

If I am correct you need the 50mm ID bearings. I read that on ARB's website. I do not know what year those are.

If you are installing in a V6 housing you can use the factory bearings. If it is a 4cyl housing you need bearings that have a 50mm V6 inner and 4cyl outer. ARB only makes one locker for the 8" Toyota.

Timken also makes one under the same number and if you have a local bearing house they can prolly part match to what ever they sell.

Let me know i can get you a good price on a set of em.
