IfS Lift For 86
« on: Nov 03, 2010, 04:03:16 PM »
Looking for info on a 2 inch IFS lift for my 86!  Searched the forum with no results. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I don't do any rock crawling, just offroad and snow wheeling.  Thanks

I don't think anyone makes a 2in. lift for ifs.  I think it's either a 3in., or a 4.5in.  I had a 4.5in. trailmaster lift on my ifs 4runner.  worked on the street/snow/dirt roads I took it on.  Every now and then you can a kit for sale on here for dirt cheap.  keep your eyes on the parts for sale postings.

Watch CL too.

I have a 3ish IFS lift on my DD 4runner and I hate it. Here is the new version of the one that I have.

Rids like crap, and doesn't fit right. TRE fit really really bad, I am going to SA it just to make it ride better and safer!

to get something decent an not some BS drop bracket, look for stuff like total chaos, where it makes the arms longer allowing more travel thus allowing a better angle for the cv axles. Blazeland long travel kit or total chaos are probably your best option...imo though

 exactly what I was thinking, 2 inches of lift and a little more travel. Do both!

I would just go with a 2" BL, it is simple and easy to install, and should be able to clear 33's w/a little bit of firewall seam adjustment, or 32's w/o issue.  You can get a high quality 2" BL from 4crawler.com for under $130.
