yep at 55 with 33's the speedo is about 7 mph off or 8 is that constant or is it exponential? it's too late my brain ain't workin
too much spent to go slow
too much spent to stay low
too much spent on the go
but it's fun you know

don't know how but i just put 35s on.  my 22re has at least 220k and i'm at 20mpg...but i can only do 40-45 up the canyon i have to drive to work.  everybody is passing me at 70.  just ordered my 5.29s for some power and so i don't wear on the clutch so much.

btw i used to get 21mpg with my 31s,

this is with 4.10 gears

Well my odumator? does not work at all. I have to go to road maps to get my mileage. I only try when I'm making a long trip, longer trips lessen the error. and I'm sure that on flat ground I get 18 on a good day, and into the wind with some hills I'll get 16. towing I'll get 15-16ish. 33's with 4:88s. and I don't think that's to bad for a 83 22R.
A good day working, that's just sick :reg:

I think you folks need to get your Speedo error figured out. Some of you are saying horibly low MPG. well oversized tires is going to make your odometer run slow. Your probably getting a lot better then you think.

If you have a tach you can figure out you actual speed using these calculators and the nice gearing charts posted above.

I use a GPS to check both speedometer and odometer. I've often found that the error is different on each. Put in the GPS and drive for at least 10 miles and compare the GPS reading to the odometer reading to determine the error. If its a small error (less than 10%) you may need to drive a longer distance to get an accurate measurement, since its hard to resolve to anything less than 1/10 mi on the odometer.

if anyone cares. . . . . . .

i have a 91 k1500 excab 4wd with the 4.3L and 5 speed, and 3.73 and get 18 at 80 on flat ground.  the truck is terribly under geared, it will no pull itself above 75 in 5th gear, but will go well above 100 in 4th.  i think this truck would get awsome milage, and power with some 4.56.

oh ya, its got 265s on it too.

soon ill be able to tell you what an 86 excab on fullwidth with 5.13s and 37" MTRs gets daily ;)
