Power steering conversion on a 1985 4x4 yota

OK so i bought a 1985 Toyota on Craig's list for 1300 bucks and it has no power steering and the last 85 Yoda it had power steering and was wondering if the 2 wheel drive steering boxes are the same as the 4x4 if not what year has power steering and I'm not looking for x over steering i don't have that kinda money for the setup any help would be great and thanks in advance

Nope.  If you want to retain the push/pull setup you have to get a box for a 79-85.

first off   2wd is not the same....


I gota 84  power steering box i will sell yea lol.....sure you could find one closer

crossover is worth it in the long run however if you dont have the money yea just dont have the money. . .
Those are some huge welds!

ya im on a super low budget and the truck will not be doing nothing major as far as off road goes its more for when i go camping to be able to get up old loggin roads and some small wash outs nothing major ive been up bald mountain a few times in my last rig i had and it was stock with 33x12.5 15s and it did just fine now how ever when time and money permit then it will get all the love and good parts she needs

You can use a power steering box off of any solid axle four wheel drive toyota pickup or 4runner. You can use a power steering pump off of anything with a 22r in it.
1985 toy, Hybrid 20r/22r on propane, 30splines, custom built leaf packs, welded front and rear diffs, dual ultimate crawler, full hydro, full exo, flat bed, 37' mtrs

sweet i found a guy parting out a truck that has all parts i may need for this build thank goodness thanks for all the help guys as soon as i get pics ill post some pic for you all to see
