I redid the intake completely again! I mounted the MAF Sensor to the sidewall and using PVC pipe made a fitting that I can rotate to use for a snorkle in the future. Right now it ponits back into the engine compartment where a large air filter is attached. Aside from the airfilter the intake is waterproof! Just prepping for when I do a snorkle!

Then there is another problem I keep having! 4 wheeling is not the best on my stock battery mounting hardware! It keeps doing this to my battery! So its time I either fab some new hardware or break down and get an optima battery!




And most recently!!!! while I was out of town I came home to this... it made me laugh...      

Of all the things on my truck to steel they took the cheapest things on it! My deck and the top of my gear shift? 



So now I'll just finish cutting out that section of plastic and I'll fab a mount for a deck with a CB below it. They may have done me a favor because now I can't put it off as long!

Naw, I forgot and completely spaced it until a month after!

I've been off and on but no real trails - just putting around in the desert, sycamore, butcher jones, etc... Most of my friends drive quads all the time and cant go where I can... funny eh? I can go where they cant! lol.

I need to start going again but everyone I normally hang out with has quads and not a crawler in sight! Guess I could look on here more for night runs and such though!

as soon as i get mine done ill hit up some trails with you i was tryin to get some of the people from the az rocks we went to the other year and did martinez loop with together and go out with us i already probably got 3 or 4 1st gens and a couple 2nd gens

Here are few pics from a recent run up Box! No real problems and let me tell you - when you let someone else drive your rig and you are watching... its alot of fun to see what your rig does... but torture watching someone drive it! I'd of been in it but I was in the runner getting a feel for her. I definently like my truck a lot more!

I've updated a few things since I last explained any of it and wanted to put it up so others looking to do stuff can get some other ideas.



As you can see above I've put a tool box in the bed and have a full sized spare in there as well. Right behind the tool box on either side there is a pole. The one on the left is a flag in a flag mount for going to the dunes and on the right hand side - a black cb antenna mounted to the top of the bed and wired up into the cab.



Initially I mounted it a little too close... it was hard to screw on and off and the top of the tool box wedged into when I closed it.



Here it is moved back a couple of inches (you can see the old hole).



I lined up the CB antenna mount with the flag on the driver side.



Finally got a new highlift jack and mounted it in the bed. Luckily it fit with a few inches on either end to spare...



And you remember from earlier that my radio got stolen?? Well here is the new deck installed along with a CB radio. My shifter barely misses the CB and it is in there good! I removed the little black shelf thing that was there and then trimmed the opening a bit more to fit it snuggly. Reinstalled it and there it is.

Well, this is going to be a sad day... but here goes...!

I am looking at a job in Spain and will be gone for quite some time! Because of that I am going to sell my baby... What do you guys feel is a fair price for her when I list her up on Craigslist?!

I'm looking at a job in Spain and because of that I am going to sell my baby. The A/C blows cold and she drives smooth. She shifts great both on and offroad. The clutch grabs just right... The front IFS has been removed and a Solid Axle Swap (SAS) was performed. It drives great on the freeway and does 75 miles per hour no problem and with no real wandering, pulling, or wobbling. She has plenty of power and torgue to work her way up hills and can start moving easily from a dead stop on a steep hill. There is a small oil leak I havent fixed - it is the small rubber half-moon peice on the back of the engine where the crankshaft is... I just haven't felt like ripping apart the engine to replace that little rubber piece. She is ready to wheel or work as a daily driver... whatever works for you.

I am asking $6500 for her but have invested a considerable amount more than that between parts, labor, materials, etc...
