I thought about the new bfgs but you can buy two sets of almost any other tire for the cost of theirs.

Have a friend with 37" Creepy Crawlers.  Terrible road manners, no chance of balancing them.  And the price is pretty steap.  The new bfg's are only avaliable in select sizes right now.

I know the post says good year MT but there are a ton of tire options out there. I personally have not run the good year MT/R but I am running the toyo MT and I absolutely love those damn tires. They air down awsome, they are soft and comform really well. They are not that loud on the road either. I dd my truck and I have had them for about a year now and they still look brand new. Ya they are expensive but well worth it. They are 14.50 wide the IROK is 13.00 wide i think or 13.50 but even the 42 IROK is only 14.00. I believe in the wider is better, before my toyos I had 35 bfg mts and they were ok i like the toyos way better. And after my toyos go i will definitely get another set along with some 40 inch IROKs for the snow and swap back and forth during seasons. I plan not to have my truck a DD for very much longer.  :yesnod:

I like knowing i have 4 more inches of width when i am rock crawling who knows that 4inches could mean roll or not. I think i would rather have the 4inches then not!

Well, bring your 14.5's next to my 13.5 Iroks.   The Toyo's look like pizza cutters next too them.  Yes the Toyo's have good road manners, but then have not been able to compete with the 37" mtr's here in the rocks, dirt of or snow.   Not posative, but I think the Toyo's have a stiffer, thinker, or more plies.  Seeing the Mtr next to Toyo's, I beleive you opinion would change.

they are awsome in the snow! If they made a 40inch toyo with a 15 inch rim I would not buy anyonther tire!

its tough to comparte iroks to toyos, they are 2 different types of tire, toyos will last forever on a toyota, and are wider and yota krawler has had some good snow wheelin on  them, i feel that the difference in width from a toyo to a irok isnt gonna matter when you air down an irok and it bags out twice as much as the toyo, i dont know about the MTR i havent had them side by side, i have seen peeps with blown beads where the other tires werent bagging very much

ya i read his post. i bought the toyos therefore i run the toyos, they kick ass here i guess it also depends on what conditions you wheel in, but for the snow up here they do really good, way better then those 38.5 16.00s tsl's that linnie is runnin. i would love to compare my toyos against the gy mtr

Up at Bld Mnt a month ago my buddy was runnin the 35x13.50 Toyo and I had 35x12.50 MTRs and mine were at least 2x better at moving through the white stuff. I think the Toyos would be better at around 3lbs but we stated at 8lbs.
