Welcome to MCI Forum Version 2
« on: Jan 01, 2009, 12:29:31 AM »
  Welcome to the new look of Marlin Crawler's Online Community Forum!

What better way to rush in the new year than with a new theme!

The old theme has serviced this community since 2002! But don't worry, if you prefer to use the old theme it is still available in your Profile, or through this direct link: http://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?action=profile;sa=theme and then click on the "(change)" link to the right of the Current Theme. From the next page you'll be able to select the "Marlin Crawler" theme which is the old theme!

I have only checked the template layout on a handfull of systems, so if there are any errors with graphics or layout bugs, please report them to the Bug Report thread.

So.......................... what do you think?  :cheese:

Its different. I may switch back to the old style. I will give this one a week to see how I like it. So far it seems pretty neat.

Thanks for the comments guys! I've been very busy over here! :yesnod:

I am still working out a couple text color / contrast issues as well as certain text appearing outside of a users speech bubble when a window is resized to a very narrow width (I just need to define a width for the speech bubble).

I am guessing that my forum user name and password does not work as my "Marlincrawler Inc" username and password.

Tried to log in to it and it tells me there is no username with that password.. :dunno:

That is correct. The website is operating on a different database and requires certain user info (such as shipping info) that the forum does not need. Both the website and the forum use a persistent login so you don't have to log in every time you visit our sites.

I looked into integrating the two databases and it will take much more time to do than I was allocated for this job.

I do like how the different posts in a thread alternate colors. That is a nice feature.

I have to leave now, I will be back later tonight. I still have more plans coming for the forum:

A teaser of these plans:
-A FAR faster search engine (on the order of 1000 times faster), coming soon
-Improved Smiley system (going to add a crap load of more smileys), coming soon
-I was told by our head breeder that we have a lot of Good Turtles born and need to be released into the wild soon :eyebrow:

This isn't really a bug, but on the page for the new rotors it says they'll fit 81-85 in one spot, then down the page it says 82-85   http://www.marlincrawler.com/brake/disk-rotor/brake-rotor-high-performance

I think they're a great product to have, and one I've searched for for some time.  I'd definately be buying them if I didn't have 2 new sets of the standard vented rotors sitting on the shelf!

When I click on "random game" in the arcade section it throws my internet exploder into a hissy fit. I don't know if this is a problem on my end or your end but it is a problem I am having.

Cool  Feel free to switch back and forth at any time, users are not restricted on which theme to use

I am using an old (most likely outdated) version of the Arcade system, I will get it updated soon. Thanks for the bug report!
