ok well im running the 37" open country mt's with 4.88 gears.  the motor feels gutless cause i have to rev it pretty high just to get going.  when i take it up hills second gear wont even do the trick it just starts bogging out. i dont know what the deal is...

How's your intake and exhaust?  Cat. converter might be plugged.  O2 sensor could be bad and causing the ecm to run lean.  Check your timing?  You might wanna double check the gears!  37" you should be running 5.29, but it would be a dog if they are 4.10's!  These are just ideas to check.

i run 35s, stock engine and gears, 5speed and i go up 6% grades in 3rd gear, 55mph.
it has no accel on the hills... but in town it does fine.

so id think you have engine problems... like cheesemaker stated.
and i dont think the 4.88s are true...
and try 2low... see if its any better... or too low

the exhaust and intake are stock so im thinkin that if i cut the exhaust and put a new aftermarket intake i should get some more power.  and i know the timing is a little off so that could be a big problem.  and the gears i know for sure are 4.88 caus i bought them brand new from yukon..

a few degrees of timing  can  put these little motors  on their face,

im gonna have to check and fix the timing cause if thats the case of why i really dont have power that would be awesome.  but if it is still really gutless then i dont know what to do

how long has it been  since the timing chain was  replaced??  that  stretched chain can cause significant power loss
