Clutch help
« on: Sep 16, 2007, 02:27:13 PM »
i put a new marlin clutch into my 88 4runner, i also replaced both the master cyl. and slave. at first the car would not go into gear whats so ever and if we slammed it into gear it would immediately stall. so we extended the push rod and that fixed that problem, then the clutch was slipping, i then shorted the push rod and adjusted the clutch pedal and all. Everything seemed to be working great for about a day. the next morning i go to put it into gear and it wont even budge. i am triple pumping and what not and finally jam it into gear and the truck does not stall. i extended my push rod a small amount which fixed the problem right away but again just for a day. everything is fully extended on the master cyl. and i have bled the :pokinit: numerous times so its not that...any ideas of what it could be?

bad hydraulics?  Mine had a small leak in it - put in new lines and problem was solved.
