As you might have noticed, the YOU! thread was (inadvertantly) removed last night.

My bad

I was mulitasking last night, PMing and emailing and browsing and watching TV all at the same time. I guess throwing in moderating on top of it all was one too many tasks.

(OK, so there might have been a little wine involved too)

I could have sworn I only selected the one inappropriate post that turned up on the thread and and hit Delete Selected, which should have only removed that post, but I I didn't read what the pop-up said when it popped up asking for confirmation, just said YES. All I could figure is I must have hit Remove Topic by mistake and in not reading the confirmation POOF! It was gone!!

I'm only a peon mod, I can make them go away but I can't bring them back to life. The power mods will be restoring it as soon as they get to it.

I agreed with my family (in NJ) years ago, that we were old enough that we didn't need to do more then exchange cards.
MrW's family still held to the tradition, but this year there have been health problems so I called his father and suggested it would be easier on everyone if we just get together for socializing and eating mass quantities of food. They were all for that.

His family was always VERY generous in their gift giving and I was always very appreciative, and I do love the giving gifts myself, but the real reason for the season has been lost in the whole BUYING frenzy.

It is about getting together with loved ones, remembering those we haven't been in touch with enough throughout the years, and bringing love into our hearts. If only we could feel the same way all year long.
