im building up my 1985 front housing. I plan on tipping my pinion at least 3inches up and fabing a home brew u-bolt eliminator set up. Im running a 2 inch drop hanger with 86 rear springs up front. As it stands now my pinion is all most level with the floor of the shop. Im not sure what the stock Castor angle is ( seeing how the truck was never stock). I plan on building my new perches first and then  bolting the axle down before i turn the knuckle.

If any knows of any good links or has any pictures of what the Castor angle looks like or any help at all id appreciate it.

Thanks

pictures are my friends

what you need to do is pull the knucles off, so that all is left is the balls on the end of the housing, cut your perches and turn the axle to the desired angle

then using a cutting wheel,  carefully cut about 1/2 inch behind the weld behind the ball, on the end of the tube,  cut about 1/4 inch deep,  then using a prybar you can rotate the ball till the top trunion race is level with the frame

i have a old housing i can try and get some pictures of where you need to cut
