I didnt see a Newb post section, so here it goes. How soon should I get sliders? Those $100 sliders from Marlin are looking great for the price.

if you dont like body dammage they should be first on your list if you dont mind it then lock it in the rear then do sliders or weld the rear and do sliders at the same time and your golden :beerchug:

Yeah, but Chicks dig Body Damage

Strategically, Sliders can be used to push your rear wheels into a different, more advantageous track. When you get up along side a boulder that is the same height as your sliders, just crank the wheels hard into the rock, and the truck will pivot about the rock as it slides around it on the slider. It's like having the line of a two point turn without having to backup

Yea, but it kinda sucks to have a rock crush your cab so bad you cant open the door.

Hey does anyone have any pics of these sliders with a 3" body lift on any generation pickup? How about any type of sliders? I have an 81 with a 3" body and it doesnt look like theres much space to weld on sliders to get them close to the body and whatnot.

True but when I start on the tougher trails I plan on getting Tube doors. So hopefully I wont hit any rocks too bad that prevent me from opening them up.

BlackDog and I went to the con recently and there are pics on here. You can see his red sliders with his 3" body lift. Check them out, doesn't look too bad.

What mat said  Actually, it turned out better that I had a body lift.  If I remember right, supermat, didnt youhave totrim your body a little to get your sliders on?

Sure did, had to notch the pinch weld so that I didn't get any rub between the sliders and the body. So far its worked out great and I'm happy  with the finished product.
