No lie.  I'm afraid to cut. I have seen weld in plates and body mount relocation kits that sound interesting though.

No rubbing yet so I'm procrastinating.

Hey W.....

I've been to Kauai a couple times.  :beerchug:

I don't remember seeing any rocks big enough to cause any "rubbing"?  :dunno:

There are plenty just not on any drivable trails.  Only hiking.

I mentioned it once before, I'd buy the RCLT w' the RCV axles except I'd be spending a whole lot to be a poser.

Here the beach is the regular basis.  However, it's illegal.

If moved to my house in Oregon I get that kit for my truck there.

They fit with only slight rubbing on the mud flap at the front. So now to find something more exciting than an advanced road pattern... ::)

Oopsie
Changed out the heater control illumination bulbs and gauge cluster bulbs.
Swapped out the Ash tray bracket as it was missing the plastic guide, How? Don't know. Why? Don't know.

Also most of the dash screws are missing. Why? Don't know.
Much improved.

Also fitted radio and removed hands free nastiness.

Excuse me, my fly is undone.

Let the cleaning commence

I got carried away

Must remember to take before pictures before work commences.....  :screwy:

Very satisfying process...

Found more blown bulbs in some switches. The gauge cluster housing is broken and the clear cover is all scratched so
I will see if they can be obtained.
Need a rear view as it's smashed, don't know how.
Pass door switch wire also corroded off under the carpet but I think I have the parts to remedy that.
Still trying to figure out if the fuel gauge is goosed or whether its the sender.
It also needs a lock set... one key for ignition barrel, one key fir drivers door, neither of which fit the pass door, fuel door lock is missing completely.

FIGURES...

Fuel gauge doesn't work, guess this is why. Thought it had 10ltrs in it... er no more like 50 maybe more. Was damn heavy balanced on my tit.

This was missed at ministry inspection..

This has the collywobbles.. suspect inner seal gone, nut still staked but flange loose. Torqued to 105nm sorted the play so will order seals and go again

These are seized, o-ring shagged.

Found a load of other things that can be done at a later date, like the frigged diffs, yes both of them.

Fuel tank crossmember is also frigged.
To lift the bed off or not to lift the bed off :headscratch:

At this point I'm thinking flopp it, pull it all apart, cut the IFS off etc...........

I have to keep telling myself... Work truck not wheeler, work truck not wheeler....

So I've decided to pull the bed off to make frame repairs a little easier, can derust and paint and have it done with.
But first need to modificate the new crane first, specifically to lift cabs, bodies and beds.
It's a 1970's Harvey Frost gear driven crane with a 7ft lift height, I'm going to make it lift to 13ft.
The legs will need extending

The hook is out of an old crane, had to be trimmed down, cut two slots in the new jib for weldment.
