I bought a truck and somebody put the timing chain on wrong with the cam gear off 180 degrees from the crank.  What should I do?

The valves are bent, pull head fix
3 (23.1%)
valves are fine, fix timing chain
3 (23.1%)
valves may/may not be fine, fix timing chain and see

valves may/may not be fine, pull head and fix everything

If the valve is already bent it has already done all the piston damage its going to do. It could do damage to the head but just a quick crank will tell if there is valve trouble or not. I think its worth a shot to try the timing chain first not only to save money but to save time.
