The reason the weight fees are removed is the vehicle is not used for commercial purposes since it is only used to transport a disabled person.
Well..... yes and no. Neither of my pickups are used commercially, yet I still pay weight fees. And a person with disabled plates can still haul cargo in the bed of the truck, so......
