the hf PIPE bender bends PIPE not tubing. big difference, tubing's measured outside edge to outside edge.  pipe is measured from the inside to inside. which is easier to calculate flow. so 1'' tubing will measure 1'' on the outside. with pipe you have to add the wall thickness times two, so lets say its 1/8''wall . the PIPE would measure 1  1/4'' outside diameter . if you get a hf pipe bender and put  tubing in it. it will kink because its too small for the die. if you put pipe in a tubing bender you will find its to big. you might feel inclined to cheat and put bigger TUBING in a PIPE bender to make up the diff. if you can do this and get away with it good for you :thumbs: plus on top of that tubing and pipe behave in different ways under loads for a bunch of different reasons, which is a whole different story :twocents: :twocents:
