Sorry for the thread hi-hack, but I want to run a the 4.7 setup behind my auto trans. I know I will need the inchworm adapter to make it work.  Will I also need a longer input shaft? I want to do this for two reasons: 1) lower gearing and 2) I can make my front driveshaft longer with more slip( I posted earlier about problems with my driveshaft coming apart).

How much length will this add to my tranny/t-case combo and how difficult is the switch?
