Guys, what does running a single 4.0 t-case with 5.29 R&P gonna do to me at top end speed? Obvioulsy, I don't need to be a speed demon, but I would liek to be able to maintain about 55mph or so on the interstate. I was thinking swapping in a 4.0 t-case now would be an inexpensive way to lower gears, then I can put on a second case when I can afford it. What would be all of the downfalls to this? Would regearing the transmission to lower gears, like Marlin offers, be a better idea?

Well the t-case gears aren't going to effect anything at top end or 2wheel drive for that matter. They only reduce the low range ratio.  As for 5.29's turning 35's you will be fine. I am running 36's and at about 65 I find that my speedo is just about right on.  And I can cruise at 70 mph all day long on flat land.  With a carb 4 banger
