Still havent had a chance to yank out the trans, but it sounds like that is where the gremlin is living. Durned right im gonna get a clutch from Marlin. I had the misfortune of putting a clutch in my ol 98 4wd Tacoma that came from one of those Autogons parts places. After putting it in, (on a gravel driveway in the rain) the pressure plate screemed like a wild (made in Kamkook) banshee! After cursing the day I was born, I took the thing out and replaced it with another (no money back, try another one) Lucky Chicken brand clutch. The new one worked ok but had no feel and would slip-R-stall, making me look like a bad driver - which my buddies say is easy to do!
