Ive heard oven degreaser works well.
oven cleaner does do pretty well
Oven cleaner does work awesome (it will remove anodizing from aluminum!) but I have to warn that if you use it on aluminum it can discolor/turn the alloy black if you leave it on too long. The purple stuff will also discolor alloy but not nearly as fast as the oven cleaner.
