one last noob question.  do i need to pull the axle shafts before i weld on the shock tabs or can i just do it with the axle complete.  and should i use long or short tabs?  and ill just go for the new springs.  bags are around 200 bucks and wont really "fix" the problem.

You would need bags in combination with the soft springs.
