I think its time for a new engine for me like a 3rz or a hybrid like Glen

Glen, about how much money/time do you think itd take for me to do? Im close to no money and lookin to do an engine swap this summer but i need it cheap and somewhat quick...

first you need to do a compression check if you dont have 150 psi  in each cyl you'll need to bore your block, a 22R 80- 84,  but since you have a 81 im guessing its a 22,  so get it bored, get pistons from your machine shop,  i like KB9059H
go to a junk yard and find a early celica or pickup and get the head and intake from a 20R,  exhaust is not needed , you already have a header

get your block back,  install pistons,  or you can have the machine shop install them if your not that savvy,  then use a 22R head gasket and and lay it on your block,  you will see water jacket holes between the cylinders  , take a phillips screw driver and punch some holes in your head gasket so you can get coolant flow thru those water jackets to the 20R head,  the 20R head gets better cooling this way,   i always use  laser block headbolts but you might be ok with your oem  headbolts after being torques and retorques 6 or 7 times they stretch
meaning the bolts will hit the bottom of the hole befor it squeezes the gasket tight enough,
oh,  put your 22R cam and rockers on top the 20R head, so you dont need them from the donor truck/ celica

if your cam and rockers are badly worn you can always find  rockers in good shape from wrecked stuff, in junkyards,  cam and rockers should be from the same motor or bought new
