You can file married, but filing single. But filing married & jointly, you get a better return.
I never get to deduct my interest from my house payments, since I got a really low rate, and my payments are really stupid low! $695 with property taxes and ins!!!
My actual house payment is like $525, with a 5% int. rate. The standard deductions is more than our int. deductions! So we are able to just go 1040 and file online with direct deposit, and usually within 2 weeks it's in our account!
