Mine also has very VERY noisy lifters and injectors which sound the same. I've given up trying to figure out where all the noises come from - lol. I just drive it gently till it's warmed up and don't get it over 4K rpm. It's gone close to 100K this way, according to the previous owner. When it gets worse I'll yank the head and rebuild it.
Note - if it's an oil pressure problem and lack of lubrication, it also could sound like garbage when it's first started. Mine makes noise when it's first started unless I slightly overfill the oil(maybe 1/4-1/2 a quart extra). I suspect that my old oil pump isn't pushing nearly as much oil as it did when it was new and it's taking a couple of miles to get the oil properly flowing to the valves and lifters.
