iv done this many times and never used power tools or anything special just use this cinder block...http://www.demxx.com/images/standardblockB2_th.jpg throw a towel on it if your worried about the bearing staying clean and drop the spider gear/carrier end into one of the holes, then all u need to do it brace the block with your other foot and then you can just use a cheater bar on a ratchet and your good to go.
