Only air your tires to a suitable pressure making sure you have full contact of the entire tread surface with the ground. If you have to little it will wear the outside edges of the tire, to much and the center will wear quickly. Just like with your wheeler, I don't think anyone here runs their big tires at maximun pressure. Also with maximum tire pressure you will create heat since you will have the friction occurring in a smaller patch of tread resulting in failure of the tire.
