Well if you think thats what it is.  What are my options short of yanking the trans?

I was looking at the FSM for my '87 and it looks like you put a light coat on there.  But I don't see how that little bit of grease would do anything for very long.  Guys run clutches for 100k and a small smear of grease and it never squeaks?   :dunno:
