I spent 6 years managing construction of cell sites for various companies, where I was in charge of the build from ground up. I now work as an inspector, actually a supervisor for a team of inspectors.
We get a bunch of cell sites to hit, and map them out and knock them out, one by one. Most of these cell sites are on the peaks of mountains or rooftops.
Before that, every week was spent waiting for the weekend to get into the 4x4 and go explore mountains. Now, we do it for a living. If I won the lotto, I would PAY to do my job.
I get special access to private property and views no other man will ever see.
Blackhawk? All those million dollar properties? I get up on the billion dollar estates and look down on those and take nice pics for my wall at home.
Anytime you see gates on dirt roads - I can open them. PG&E, PacBell, all utilities - I got the keys and codes.
It's nice working for a utility. Prime private 4wheelin and private fishing spots, not to mention the views...
