I put a marlin 5" kit in my 4runner and stared to get a rattle noise when I was coasting above 55mph.I could swear it was coming from my transfer case,turns out when I put a CV joint on my shaft it fixed the noise and the slight vibration I had.
thats exactly what im in the process of doing. since i went to 5.29's the added rototing speed and bad pinion angle is trying to blow my output bearing, but with a cv joint all should be a-ok. I wish i would have known this about 500$ of trying to fix ago.
