not trying to voice my newbie opinion, but I agree with the long spring idea keeping him from running shorter shackles, only other thing he could to to make it "appear" more 4by worthy is to do a 1/4 eliptical, that way it wouldnt look so bad and would provide alot more flex, while still giving him the farther back spring mount, shorter shackle and increases flex......
Sand, what fun, drop pressure to 12psi, stock tires are still digging, can't afford to get stuck, 8psi, still not working. Find a place to GET OUT, air up, un-lock hubs,  WAIT whats this, hubs are UN-LOCKED already. 2wd, 8psi, stock tires, Oregon sand dunes.
