it used to be a spark arrestor thing but then bikes with them started getting turned down for green stickers and before long all sorts of crazyness started happening with the 2 strokes. When performance 4 strokes first came out you could ride them on trails in the summer but now you cannot, kind of bummed some of my friends out.
