Maybe a little because the weight of the truck is now spread across a larger tire surface area, tires DO take some shock out of an impact/landing. Nevermind the fact that it would be safer, as in no chance of spacers loosening overtime.

But I seriously think you'd be better off with either converting your axle to a full floater, or swapping in a heavier duty axle that is already set up as a full floater.
