Hey, rather it is your release or pilot bearing, the noise will go way when the pedal is RELEASED (clutch engaged). At that time, the pilot bearing is not spinning (since the trans input shaft is in a sense "locked" to the crankshaft) and the release bearing is just that, released!

Bad release or pilot bearings are only heard while the clutch pedal is pressed (clutch disengaged).

Sounds like something is up with your transmission to me... Here's a scary question: Is there any GEAR OIL in your trans?? :scared: :crossed:
